About Me

Hi there 👋,

I'm Andrew and this is my site. I have a degree in civil engineering, and am a self-taught computer programmer since I started dabbling in grade school. This has led to a diverse background that is rooted in both commercial general contracting and in software.

Over the past couple of decades, I have worked as a structural design engineer, project manager, SAAS company founder, software executive, business consultant, and corporate trainer - all in the commercial construction space. I've learned a lot over the years by working with great people on challenging projects, and I've been blessed to work with organizations who invested heavily in the developing the skills of their people.

Construction is a very fragmented industry with a low barrier to entry. As a result, I've come to realize that many organizations don't have the structures in place to teach their staff the foundational skills, and also that information about emerging trends and technologies in the industry gets lost.

My recent focus has been on helping general contractors improve their sales functions, and I am the founder of Pursuit Zen - a tool for general contractors to automate and streamline the creation of client proposals.
